We encourage anyone interested to fill out and submit applications as soon as possible, and to notify the County Party Chairman of your interest in serving in one of these positions, and confirmation that you have submitted the application. Sign up for the convention now! If you were not a county convention delegate in March, you cannot attend the “business” part of the convention (General Session $75). However, you can still pay for, and go to, the breakfast, lunch, and dinner to hear the candidates and enjoy the food and friends.  …And the parties! Yes, Republicans party!

Reminder: Saturday is the Butterfly Festival in Hudson

The Butterfly Festival is this coming Saturday, May 2nd, in Hudson. The Caldwell County Republican’s site will be at “Letter L”. The festival starts at 9am and ends at 3pm. Please come by and visit us at our booth and see our new banner. We will be handing out pocket constitutions and promotional fans. If you know anyone who needs to register to vote, please consider bringing them to our booth. We will have voter registration forms.  We are looking forward to meeting you!   God Bless our Republic.

Reminder: Men and Women’s Club meetings Tuesday

This is a reminder that the Men’s Club meeting is this coming Tuesday the 28th at AJ’s Restaurant at 7pm and the Woman’s Club meeting is at 7pm this Tuesday the 28th, as well.  The Woman’s Club meet at Bud’s Diner at 7pm.  Please come early if you would like to eat with everyone.  Please tell your friends.

*Signing up for the NC GOP State Convention does not guarantee your credential status.  You must be elected at your county convention to be a delegate.  Please visit the check-in counter upon your arrival for your credentials and passes to the NC GOP State Convention and related activities.  The check-in counter will only be open at designated times to ensure quorum counts, please visit for more information.

Call to District 11 Convention

Eleventh Congressional District Republican Party

To: Delegates and Alternates to 11th District Convention from: Dave Sawyer, Chairman, Eleventh District Republican Party

Thank you for volunteering to serve as a Republican Convention delegate or alternate. The 11th District Convention will be held at Pisgah High School on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Link to map here: Pisgah High School is located at 1 Black Bear Drive, Canton, North Carolina 28716. Directions to Pisgah High School are:

From East or West -Take Interstate 40 to Exit 31 (Canton Exit). Turn toward Canton on N.C. 215. Go one mile on N.C. 215, passing Dairy Queen and Arby’s (on the right) and MacDonald’s, Ingles and Taco Bell (all on the left). After going one mile from the freeway, turn right, across the bridge, continuing to follow N.C. 215. After turning right, go 8/10 of a mile, to the first traffic light. You will be at a “T” intersection. Turn left, continuing to follow N.C. 215. Go 4/10 of a mile to the second traffic right, and turn to the right, again continuing to follow N.C. 215. Go 4/10 of a mile. Canton Middle School will be on your right, and the Canton Armory will be on your left. Immediately after passing the Canton Armory, turn left on Pigeon Street. Pigeon Street is between the Armory and a Park/Swimming Pool area. Drive up the hill to Pisgah High School and follow the signs for parking.

NOTE: Pisgah High School Students will be having a car show on the High School Campus. Make sure you follow the signs for “Convention Parking”.

The day’s activities will begin with a Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. The Luncheon will be catered by K & B Catering. Our menu will be a split chicken breast (rotisserie cooked), vegetables, bread, drinks and dessert. The cost of the Luncheon will be $20.00 per person, and can be paid at the door.

Registration for the Convention will begin at 10:30 a.m. Registration will close, and the Convention will begin, at 1:00 p.m. Congressman Mark Meadows will be our Special Guest Speaker at the Convention.

Persons planning to come to the Luncheon should RSVP their names and county to  . We need this additional information so we can get an accurate count for the caterer, and to insure that you will have a meal available to you. If you don’t have e-mail, you may call 828-488-2842 and leave a message as to whether you will be attending the Luncheon.


There will be no fee for the convention, although a suggested donation of$5.00 per person attending will be accepted.

Again, Pre-Registration for the Convention is not required, although we ask that you RSVP. We suggest that you arrive early to facilitate the registration process.
