A Special Invitation to the 11th District Republicans

It’s Golden Elephant time again! For those of you that are not familiar with this event of the 11th Congressional District Republican Party, it is our time to honor longtime, hard-working, in-the-trenches Republicans with a dinner and award. This year, the banquet will be on Saturday, February 13th, in the Virginia Boone Center, at the Western North Carolina Ag Center Complex. The address is 1301 Fanning Bridge Road, (near the Asheville Regional Airport), in Fletcher. A Meet-and-Greet will be held prior the main dinner, which will be an evening event. (The exact times during the evening are yet to be announced, depending upon our speaker’s schedule.) Congressman Mark Meadows has confirmed that he plans to attend. We have also invited other excellent speakers to participate and we are waiting to hear back from them. Finally, we expect many Republican Candidates to be present during the evening.
In addition, following the dinner, we plan to host a Debate Watching Party, with the Republican Presidential Debate in Greenville, South Carolina being shown on a 20 foot screen. We hope that you will participate in these events, which will all be held at the Boone Center.
In addition to retaining the 11th District Seat in the United States Congress, the District Committee has had two other goals over the past few years. One has been to increase Republican registration where, over time, we have succeeded in changing several 11th District counties to Republican majorities. We continue to work on that goal. In addition, we seek to insure continued Republican majorities in the General Assembly, re-elect a Republican Governor and Lt. Governor, elect Republicans to North Carolina courts and insure a Republican victory in the 2016 Presidential and Senate races.
Patrons to the event receive two tickets to both the Meet and Greet and Dinner for $300, and Sponsors likewise receive two tickets to each event, for $150. Both Patrons and Sponsors will also receive acknowledgment in the Banquet Program. If you can’t serve as a Patron or Sponsor of the event, we hope that you can attend the Banquet and honor these deserving Republicans. Ticket prices are $50.00 per person or $80.00 per couple.
If you plan to attend, please complete the form below and return it, with your check (no business checks please) to P.O. Box 38, Bakersville, N.C. 28705-0038. PLEASE RSVP IMMEDIATELY TO goldenelephantbanquet@gmail.com AS WE NEED TO HAVE AN ACCURATE COUNT FOR THE CATERER. The menu will be prime rib and all of the trimmings.

Dr. Rosemary Stein Candidate for the State Superintendent of Public Schools

The monthly Men’s Club meeting will be next Tuesday the 26th at AJ’s Restaurant in Lenoir. It is open to all Republican men. The meeting starts at 7PM. Dr. Rosemary Stein is our guest speaker who is running for State Superintendent of Schools. She will be showing a very informative powerpoint presentation on learning during child development. It explains a real problem with child rearing that is systemic in our society. Everyone needs to see this powerful presentation! President of the Men’s Club

“President Obama’s latest executive actions are not only illegal, but are a part of a troubling pattern of his disregard for the Constitution and the separation of powers in government. Attorney General Roy Cooper should do his job and pursue legal action to block the President’s latest example of executive overreach.” – NCGOP Chairman Hasan Harnett
