Democrats Caught in Lie About

Newton in Attack Ad

TV Stations to Cease and Desist from Airing Fraudulent Dirty Trick

WILSON, NC – State Senator and candidate for Attorney General Buck Newton (R-Wilson), called on TV stations across the state to cease and desist from airing a false attack ad by Protect NC’s Future, a special interest SuperPAC funded by the Democratic Attorneys General Association. The ad falsely claims that Newton’s “business was dissolved” by the state.  However the Secretary of State’s Office has confirmed that the business was not actually dissolved (see evidence at link below).

“With this race deadlocked even after outspending my campaign, Democrats are desperately resorting to dirty tricks again – putting millions behind a flat-out lie,” said Buck Newton. “They know voters do not support Josh Stein’s far-left, dangerous record, so they resorted to ruthless, underhanded gutter politics. This type of dishonesty has no place in our politics, let alone the campaign for our chief law enforcement officer. No TV station in this state should participate in this malicious falsehood by continuing to air a patently false attack.”
