*Signing up for the NC GOP State Convention does not guarantee your credential status.  You must be elected at your county convention to be a delegate.  Please visit the check-in counter upon your arrival for your credentials and passes to the NC GOP State Convention and related activities.  The check-in counter will only be open at designated times to ensure quorum counts, please visit www.ncgopconvention.com for more information.

**Executive Committee Members in good standing must enter their promotional code in the “Promotional Code” field to access the discounted VIP Lounge Access pass.  Promotional codes were included in your Call to Convention.  To enquire about your status please contact Colleen Hodgman or Dana Sutis.  Promotional Codes will only be given to Executive Committee members who are in good standing and have paid their dues for the year.

Call to District 11 Convention

Eleventh Congressional District Republican Party

To: Delegates and Alternates to 11th District Convention from: Dave Sawyer, Chairman, Eleventh District Republican Party

Thank you for volunteering to serve as a Republican Convention delegate or alternate. The 11th District Convention will be held at Pisgah High School on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Link to map here: Pisgah High School is located at 1 Black Bear Drive, Canton, North Carolina 28716. Directions to Pisgah High School are:

From East or West -Take Interstate 40 to Exit 31 (Canton Exit). Turn toward Canton on N.C. 215. Go one mile on N.C. 215, passing Dairy Queen and Arby’s (on the right) and MacDonald’s, Ingles and Taco Bell (all on the left). After going one mile from the freeway, turn right, across the bridge, continuing to follow N.C. 215. After turning right, go 8/10 of a mile, to the first traffic light. You will be at a “T” intersection. Turn left, continuing to follow N.C. 215. Go 4/10 of a mile to the second traffic right, and turn to the right, again continuing to follow N.C. 215. Go 4/10 of a mile. Canton Middle School will be on your right, and the Canton Armory will be on your left. Immediately after passing the Canton Armory, turn left on Pigeon Street. Pigeon Street is between the Armory and a Park/Swimming Pool area. Drive up the hill to Pisgah High School and follow the signs for parking.

NOTE: Pisgah High School Students will be having a car show on the High School Campus. Make sure you follow the signs for “Convention Parking”.

The day’s activities will begin with a Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. The Luncheon will be catered by K & B Catering. Our menu will be a split chicken breast (rotisserie cooked), vegetables, bread, drinks and dessert. The cost of the Luncheon will be $20.00 per person, and can be paid at the door.

Registration for the Convention will begin at 10:30 a.m. Registration will close, and the Convention will begin, at 1:00 p.m. Congressman Mark Meadows will be our Special Guest Speaker at the Convention.

Persons planning to come to the Luncheon should RSVP their names and county to 11thdistrictconvention@gmail.com  . We need this additional information so we can get an accurate count for the caterer, and to insure that you will have a meal available to you. If you don’t have e-mail, you may call 828-488-2842 and leave a message as to whether you will be attending the Luncheon.

AGAIN, WHEN YOU RSVP, PLEASE STATE WHETHER YOU WILL BE ATTENDING THE LUNCHEON.

There will be no fee for the convention, although a suggested donation of$5.00 per person attending will be accepted.

Again, Pre-Registration for the Convention is not required, although we ask that you RSVP. We suggest that you arrive early to facilitate the registration process.

PLEASE COME TO THIS VERY SPECIAL  EVENT AND BRING YOUR FRIENDS.

Mike Faulkenberry will be at the Caldwell County Library in Lenoir this coming Tuesday at 7pm.  He is on the exploratory team spear headed by our Lt. Gov. Dan Forest.  This IS the hot topic of 2015 and is historical in nature.  Come and ask your questions and learn the pros and cons of this proposal.  This has the possibility to change our United States Constitution and is a VERY BIG DEAL!

Please come to Richard Holloway’s swearing in ceremony Wednesday at 3pm, room #5 at the Caldwell County Courthouse in downtown Lenoir

Governor Pat McCrory has appointed Richard Holloway District Court Judge in the 25th Judicial District. Holloway will replace District Court Judge Gary Dellinger, who retired on December 31, 2014. The 25th Judicial District consists of Burke, Caldwell, and Catawba Counties.

Holloway is a Caldwell County native and an assistant district attorney for the 25th Judicial District, a position he has held since 1998. He is also a board member of the Juvenile Crime Prevention Counsel and the Child Fatality Task Force.

Previously, Holloway was a partner with Keller & Holloway with a primary focus on family and criminal law. He received his undergraduate degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and his law degree from Campbell University.

March 28th – Lincoln Reagan Dinner Gala at Broyhill Center

The Caldwell County Republican Party invites you to the Lincoln-Reagan Day Dinner Gala.


This will be hosted at the Broyhill Center in Lenoir at 6:00 PM. This will be a $50 per person or $85 per couple event which includes dinner.  Tickets will be available for purchase at the combined precinct/county convention on March 14th Saturday.  The special key note speaker will be House Speaker Tim Moore.

March 14th – Caldwell County Republican Precinct/County combined Convention

The Caldwell County GOP Precinct Convention will be held Saturday, March 14th, at 9am at the Caldwell County Public Library. It will then open at 10am for the County Convention.  Please be early due to the fact the doors will be closed promptly at 9am.

All registered Republicans are invited to this event.
